Good Things – BEAN.
BEAN. is a four person collective based in Nashville—the US’ music capital for actually talented musicians. It’s hard to categorize their music and I do not say this disparagingly. It’s new age RnB but also pop and electronic?

Watched
The theme for my film picks this month is thrillers I watched on the free streaming app Tubi. I accidentally watched all of these in succession on the same day. To say I was emotionally drained by the end of the day would be an understatement. The list is in chronological order.Silence of the Lambs
I got tired of not knowing the pop culture references.
The Assistant
The Chambermaid Lynn
Since experiencing the versatile and magnificent Vicky Krieps on Paul Thomas Anderson’s Phantom Thread, I have made considerable effort to watch more of what she’s in. The Chambermaid Lynn is as weird as it gets and it is worth it because of how it tackles the topic of sexual identity with a thrilling storyline. Lynn is unlike any character I have ever watched and by the end, Vicky “Creeps” has you reconsidering everything you thought you knew about sexual identity.
White Lie
The main character maintains a frantic, fast paced walk throughout, adding to the nail biting atmosphere of the entire film. By the end, you’re burnt out with horror.
Boiling Point
This is British The Bear except the terror is packed into one continuous ninety minute take.
Lady Macbeth
The movie is categorized as a romance so I planned to wind down from my emotionally draining movie marathon, so I wasn't expecting the twist movie takes. My reactions varied from wtf to wtaf. I was wound up.
